Created in 2023, Two Women Blues is the only female guitar-vocals/harmonica Blues duo in Europe. On stage, Mylène L. Chamblain and Geneviève Dartevelle, experienced musicians of international repute, blend Americana, Blues and Blues Roots influences.

Mylène Chamblain

A singer-songwriter for over 30 years, influenced by the Americana, Blues, Country-Rock, and Folk music of the 70s, the artist originally from the city of Toulouse began by playing drums and harmonica before definitively choosing guitar accompaniment. Established in Belgium 19 years ago, she now has international stage experience. Mylène Chamblain has performed in the USA, England, Lithuania, France and Belgium. Her songs "Something instead", "Blues is gone" and "Lost in delusion" have brought her to the attention of the public and Classic 21 listeners, a radio station that regularly programs her.

Geneviève Dartevelle

Geneviève Dartevelle is probably the first and only female harmonica player in Belgium to have specialized in blues harmonica for over 25 years. She has shared the stage with many local and international musicians, including Gene Taylor, Morgan Davis, Manu Lanvin and Patrick De Schuyter. A multi-instrumentalist, she also plays didgeridoo, musical saw and hurdy-gurdy.

From Bessie Smith to Janis Joplin, via Nina Simone, Mavis Staple or Big Mama Thornton, women have proved that blues music isn't just for men. Mylène and Geneviève are heirs to these exceptional artists. Their first experiences as a duo opening for the famous Scottish band Big Country in March 2023 and BJ Scott last January convinced them to continue the adventure together and perform at the Cabaret du Moine in particular.
