White beers with strong hops or hints of citrus zest, brown beers with mild bitterness or strong character, amber beers with herbaceous flavors, red beers with a nice roundness of bergamot, or black beers with chocolate aromas, the beers of the Carrément Bières festival offer with delight their assets and their finery to the taste buds of the most demanding beerlovers.

For one weekend, discover the thousand flavors of this age-old beverage thanks to the presence of nearly 30 craft breweries (including that of Les Hostieux Moines de l'abbaye) and 100 beers made by enthusiasts in Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels.

Drinking and knowledge

Did you know that it takes 7 liters of water to make 1 liter of beer? Or that China is the world's biggest beer producer, far ahead of the USA and Germany? In addition to free tastings at the various stands, Carrément Bières is also an opportunity to find out more about the brewing world of yesterday and today, as well as the characteristics, production and evolution of the oldest alcoholic beverage and the most widely consumed in the world after water and tea. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of beer by taking part in zythology (or bierology) workshops and visiting the Villers Abbey microbrewery with a guide.
