Born to rock
Born in Bruges, Thomas Frank Hopper grew up listening to rock legends, from Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin to Genesis and Supertramp. A musical education shaped by his father and his childhood in Africa, where Anglo-Saxon sounds were part of his daily life. Back in Belgium at the age of 17, Thomas found his place in various rock bands before co-founding Cheeky Jack, a pop group with whom he toured for many years. In 2015, he decided to embark on a solo project more reflective of his own artistic vision.
"A very successful blend of blues and rock", Rock&Folk
On your knees
On a trip to Wales, Thomas discovered the Weissenborn guitar, an instrument played flat on the lap that Ben Harper helped popularize. This lapsteel-like guitar brings more authentic blues tones to the Belgian musician's tracks.
