Immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere of the Medieval Festival at Villers Abbey, the must-attend event for all enthusiasts of history and medieval monastic life. A true journey back in time, rich in discoveries, entertainment and emotions.

Camping – Armour and Chain Mail
More than 300 medieval reenactors will set up their camps within the abbey grounds, offering demonstrations of ancestral craftsmanship: hat making, leatherworking, and even the creation of a pair of shoes before your very eyes throughout the festival.

To the Attack!
Don’t miss the archery tournament bringing together nearly 100 archers, as well as the spectacular reenactments of knightly battles, for a deep dive into the art of medieval warfare.

Women’s Perspectives
Long kept in the shadows of accounts written by men, medieval women were often reduced to mere supporting figures. From the writings of Christine de Pisan to the sceptre of Mary of Burgundy, their presence is now recognised as an essential key to understanding the complexity of the Middle Ages.
